Can anyone tell me what the h5xx on my tag stands for.

If it is the second code on the second bottom line it is the seat trim code. See where it says seats on this drawing of a 1970 tag?



H5 indicates a cloth and vinyl seat. I have not seen XX as the remainder of the code before. Normally this code is the color of the vinyl.

Thx Dave. The owner said the seats are black vinyl with a houndtooth cloth.

That code should be H5X9 then. Not H5XX.

Yup your right Dave. I didn't look at the tag myself I only read it off a sheet the old owner gave me. The tag does read H5X9.
