Still trying to research my 70 RT.
Does anyboby own a 70 Challenger that has the 340 performance package? I would like to know if the vin# is a JH or a JS.

If your car has the 340 performance package it may well have the R/T badges (for sure if it is a convertible) but it is NOT an R/T as the 340 package was not offered on the R/T. Your car will have a VIN starting JH.

Yes, I have a 340 performance package car A66.
Vin # JH23H0B236709. It does not have any RT badges. It is Plum Crazy FC7 with V1X (white vinyl top) and white interior.
Does anyone know what color the bumble bee stripe would have been? The car has been repainted.

The stripe was part of the A66 package. The code (or delete code) for it is on the fender tag. That will tell you what color it was. I would expect white (V9W) on a FC7 car. Look at the page I have on the restoration of my car to see where on the tag it is.

Thanks for the help. Does V5X mean anything to you? It's not on the options list found on your web sight.

Found V5* on the list. I assume that V5X means body side moulding delete. Is that correct? I have no V9* on my fender tag, but it does have A66. Did the A66 come with the ralley dash? Mine has one, but does not list A62 on the tag.

No. V5X means body side moulding/black.
Challenger 340 Performance Package (A66, N/A JH29 & R/T)
340 engine (E55), E60x15 inch raised white letter tires (U82), performance hood, HD brakes, HD suspension (S13), Bumble Bee paint stripe (may be deleted), Scat Pack (bee) decal, wheel lip moulding is deleted.
It is hard to comment on tag codes without seeing the whole tag line by line.
