1971 Challenger RT 340 4-speed shaker numbers? • The Dodge Challenger Message Board

Hello,

I have met two people this summer with 1971 Challengers here in Idaho Falls. The interesting thing is that they are both RT 340 4-speed, shaker cars. I was wondering if anyone has any production numbers for that combo? Seems strange to have two in a small town like ours seeing how rare they must be (about 50K pop). I'll try to get a picture of them togther soon, both are driver cars but very solid.

313 340 4speeds but no way of telling how many of them had the shaker.

I should read my own web site one day! It says on my 1971 page that there were 39 1971 340 R/Ts with the shaker hood. I don't have a breakdown of how many were 4-speed or auto.

Thanks for the info Dave, guess I should have looked there too! I'll try to get a picture of them, sounds like quite a unique set of cars.
