Proper/ Correct Screw Size/ Type Listing for Interior- Dash

Postby cv70chall » 01 Apr 2011 15:54

Hi,

I'm trying to locate an accurate list (if one exists) of which type/ sizes of screws one would use when reassembling the dashboard/ panels/ door-kick panels, etc.

Thanks!

If you are planning on building another Challenger some day, you may want to look into a fastener guide from MCC Detroit. The guide is $79 + shipping so if this is the only car you plan on building, it may not be worth it to you.

It's been a huge help to me since all my fasteners were thrown together in one big tub. I reference the manual all the time. Here's the link if you want to check it out.

I bought a interior screw kit from ebay and it had individual packets with a number keyed legend. It made it dead simple.

This is the exact one I got I beleive.

I purchased an interior screw kit from classic industries and got it only has a dozen screwsfor the dash, so im assuming those are just the visible screws. Is there a kit out there specifically for the entire dash?

Any screws visible need to have a black oxide finish. You can get kits to do this to regular fasteners. The rest you can't see just use the regular sheet metal screws.
