I think your on to something, Jon. I'm sure Dave will chime in, soon. Really doesn't matter though. Dave just fitted one for his own use because, he liked the look of it. I'm sure he didn't worry about copyrighting the thing. He made his from scratch. The more I look at it... :s002: The more I kind of want to do the same to my car. :s017: Only, the way Dave made his. Means more that way.

I think that carbon looks brilliant, i got loads of it all over my bikes, Daves interior looks very smart probably cos he used real prepeg carbon and not billy bolt on plastic shit :!:
I'd thoght about making a shaker scoop out of carbon, one of my mates made a complete carbon hood for his 69 Camaro, he works for an F1 team and has access to all that sort of stuff, looked very trick

Yes I knew you had the real stuff  , it just seemed the guy likely got the idea from here. He also has other CF stickers for the dash I believe.

There was a guy on here used a cloth version on his car before I did mine. But I wanted a high gloss resin sheet because I wanted it to be like a modern version of a walnut veneer. It cost me over $200 for the sheet I think?

Was at some race panel manufacturer in the Banbury area, I could'nt tell you who it was though, made lightweight replica panels for superbikes mainly. Its as sunny and warm as anything today and its lovely, but I think its all about to go to shit

Does the real carbon fiber have a deeper appearance to it? Stickers would seem to look shallow like,,, well stickers.

Hey Adrian, it's sunny and warm here on the west coast (US) also. Should be a toasty 105F tomorrow. Gotta get the chores done early. :s002:

It does when it is coated in a high gloss resin like mine. It has a holographic effect to it in fact. Otherwise it is just a dull grey thin material that is either produced as a cloth or a thinner hard sheet.
