Another door panel question....clip retainer

My drivers side door panel has lost all but 1 of its "clip retainers". I do have a donor panel that has the clips. I removed 1 of them and found that on the underside they have "teeth" that dig into the panel to keep it in place. My question is:
How should I remove and install these on the new panel? I figure there are a couple ways I can do this. I can heat them clips to red hot then push them into the panel and hope they stay and don't damage the panel, OR I can easily grind off the teeth and use a strong adhesive such as an epoxy to bond the flat surfaces together.
Has anybody had any experience on doing this? Here's a pic of the clip retainer I am referring to.
