Door panels

Postby The Toy Peddler » 06 Feb 2010 16:34

I've decided to replace my door panels. Too many cracks, scratches, etc. Are all the aftermarket ones produced by the same manufacturer? I see them on ebay for about $425 a pair, which seems to be the going price. Are there any better ones or cheaper ones of the same quality you can recommend?

There are quite a few stories of dissatisfied buyers of the door panels currently available. Maybe someone here has had positive results??

I picked up on this thread and plan to wait and see how they develop.

Definatley waite for the Metro panels. I havn't heard one single good thing about the door panels currently on the market. I heard that one guy spent four hours installing one door panel. THey don't fit...not to mension the fact that the grain isn't correct.

The test fitment of the Cuda panels looks really good. My guess is that it will be next fall/winter before we will see any Challenger panels. Then maybe only the fronts at first. Time will tell. I'm waiting for a complete set myself. I'm in no hurry.

I can make mine work, but they have some cracks and will definitely need an upgrade!
Thanks for the help. I almost went to ebay or year one to purchase some aftermarkets.

I just read through the new responces on the door panel thread on Moparts yesterday. Metro said that the tooling is being made for the Challenger panels right now. The grain pattern has already been finalized with the Cuda panels so that is one less step that the Challenger panels will have to go through before production can begin. Challenger panels maybe available in the summer.
