Back seat to package tray

Postby gregvega » 11 Jun 2008 1:50

Should there be some kind of filler between the top of the back seat and the package tray? I can see the back of my seat at the package tray edge. Its where the top seat cover ties to the back of springs. The seat back is in all the way and the new seat cover looks like it fits good.

The very top edge of the back of the seat should sit down over the front edge of the parcel shelf.

It sounds to me as if the back of your seat is sitting too high?

I thought it might just be high but it wont go down anymore. How far does the seat cover go down the back? Maybe my cover on the seat is not pulled over the back enough.

Could be the seat is not engaged on the hooks on the top. There is about 1/4" to 1/2" sitting above the tray if memory serves correct.

A small bit of advice, install the bench first then fit the back. The bolt through the hoops can be installed using a socket with an extention. Push down on the bench foam in back to fit the tool.

I always fit the back first because my seat is such a tight fit under it.
