Window Felts - '70 Challenger

I purchased the kit of outside and inside felts (TopCat brand). The outsides fit fine, but I'm struggling to get the inside ones to fit on the plastic door and quarter panels. The channels are just too narrow. I tried soap and water to help slip them on, but they would just come right off again. I called the company, and they told me to use some 3M super bonder adhesive to keep them from slipping off, but am reluctant to do so.

Before I go this route, are there any other companies that reproduce the inside felts more accurately? The TopCat's are a close match, but there are differences in the construction vs my originals, which are making them very difficult to install. Or has anyone had luck installing these and can share some advice. Thanks.

Craig, have you thought about using these? I have heard very good results from this company. Hope this helps  www.fpap.com

Were you referring to the felts Eddie recommended? Got mine from Year One but have not tried to install them. Now I'm nervous. :?

.............Just checked they are made by FPAP. :D Any tips on removal and installation.

Yes, I was referring to the inner felts made by FPAP. Removal and installation is easy. To remove, start at one end and lift the old ones off, being careful not to have too much leverage or else you'll bend them. Just keep moving your hand in as portions lift off.

To install, make sure you have the correct left or right side. Line it up on the panel so you know where it should start and end. Start at one end and press on. Just take your time and be careful.

Some door panels are thicker at the top and some thinner. Depending on yours, it may be a tight or lose fit.

Seeing you post CraigRTSE I decided to try the outer felts. They snapped right into place. You do need to take your time though as paint is near by.

Thanks for the motivation and advice.
