Power window conversion

Has anyone converted fom manual to power windows ? I know there are bolt in add on kits you can buy but i was given 2 original motors and want to use them. I don't know how the manual window regulators differ from the power ones.

hello down there in Hamilton!!!!!
only two ways of doing it!!!
one- find orginal factory harness with switches- this can use the old power motors
or
two--

HOPE NOT!!!!!!!!!
give it another 2 months and then ask me!!! lol
with the new setup you are still going to need the wiring and switches.
also go to a auto yard- see if there is a old mopar with a power window setup- look between the door and the frame- there is a rubber cover for the wires- grab both sides for your wiring!!!!!!

I only got the E-body power window regulator for the driver's door with my car...... could not find the passenger one, so I went with the setup that was shown at the SEMA show to complete my R/T SE. I had the wiring, the rear regulators and motors and was missing the three single switches and the white plastic plug bodies for them..... found all that and made them work. The probem with the new technology is that the manufacturer leaves off the coil spring that actually does the lifting and makes the motor do all the work, saying that the spring is not necessary for his high-torque motor.
BS!!! In fact, a double-barrelled load of BS as he said I had to sand my new window seals as they were causing the problem with excessive drag on the glass. Sorry, but for my money, his new stuff should be designed to function in a completely restored door.
I will be getting back into my doors and figuring out how to add the springs and make the aftermarket regulators work properly this winter. I will post what happens and maybe save you guys some headaches.
