challenger dash logo color faded

Postby EV26pack » 11 Nov 2005 23:55

It's that time of year!
Time to do the little stuff

The Challenger logo on the passenger side dash of a 70 challenger
is painted. My question is what paint or finish and what is the best way to apply it to look original.

Thanks!

They originally had a very thin layer of chrome, not paint. I heard from one guy that said he used "chrome" nail polish with good results, but I did not see any photos of how it looked.

Here is a photo from the 173 mile T/A showing most of the chrome still present.

T/Ake care,
Barry

Thanks Barry!

I am thinking there might be a way to stencil cut Chrome Plastic sheets and make it look good with a sealer applied after. If I find the right materials I will post a pick of the results. It's such a nice original crack free dash with only one real noticable flaw.
