Is there a good way to get the rear driver and passanger windows/assemblies out along with door windows/assemblies?, or do I just start unbolting and unscrewing everything. I guess I'll just have to go it alone :s022:

I think the rear glass is easy. The door glass is harder. You have to lift the glass out with some of the metalwork.

So some of the hardware on the door window assembly stays attached as you remove. Thanks Dave, every little bit helps  I just didn't want to get into a bind reassembling the windows after paint ect.

I removed the doors today and then contemplated the window and assembly removal, I stopped in my tracks :? I just can't see it yet without wasting the glass :worry:

I think I removed all the adjustment bolts in the bottom of the door. And anything else that looked like it might be in the way.

The workshop manual is not a lot of help for removal but should help a lot for putting it all back.

I would make yourself very familiar with all the adjustments and what they do before you start if I were you.

You really need to get a workshop manual of your own if you are going to do jobs as involved as this.

Your right: I had to Dremel a bolt out of the lower assembly arm that runs parrallel to the bottom of the door. Ended up making a slot in the horizontal guide to just get the window out,and the bolt is still on the window with its stupid washer nut:all fused together with rust.... the assembly is still in...six hours labor in all!! By far the toughest disassembly of the car so far :fight: But thanks for all the leg work on the manuals...charging into it has worked up until now....your right:I need my own manual

Finally have door window assembly removed and everything looks salvageable: Thanks for the diagrams Dave :) But what would be the name of the best shop manual that I can get for a 73 challenger, and where can I get it?

http://www.moparmanuals.com do them on CD-ROM.

You will need the "Chassis and Service Manual" and the "Body Service manual" which comes to about $85 in total.
