Seat belt buzzer

Postby rockanimal » 20 Mar 2005 21:36

I recently bought seatbelts from a ´71 Challenger and are going to put them in my 1970 SE. My car has the C15 Seat Belt group option and now I´m wondering where to connect the wire from the front seat retractables. I was told the wire should lead to a buzzer somehow. Is this "part of the C15 option" or is that only possibly to connect if you have a car from 1971-74? I have the service manual (big yellow one, you know...) but haven´t seen this anywhere.

Is there anything that shows it in the other year circuit diagrams in the electrical section here?

On my 73 the seat belt buzzer is up under the dask all the way on the passenger side. If you get down under there and look up you should be able to see it, I dont know how the wire from the drivers side gets over there Maybe this is the same for 70's?

C15 1970 buzzer/light

is not attached to the '70 deluxe belts. It's just a simple timer that stays on for a fixed period of time when the door opens.

Attached picture is what the belts look like.
