I just bought the three point seat belts for my 71 challenger and need to know if anyone knows if there is a threaded hole above the rear side window for mounting. The instructions indicate that there is but before I cut the new headliner I would like to know for sure. thanks

Yes. You can feel it through the headlining material just above the edge. There is also a mounting point for the clip to store the belt when not in use above the front edge of the doors near the sun visor.

Thanks for the info Dave, but do you know if the hole is threaded and what size it is?

Yes it is threaded. I am sure it is a standard seat belt bolt size same as the other seat belt bolts in the car.
If you really need me to I can look up the bolt size and take some photos but I think you are worrying too much. You can feel the hole quite easily so just put a small cut in the center of it and try a seat belt bolt.
I tell you what. I will take a picture tonight when I get home if it is not raining.

It was raining.
I tell you what. Here are some scans from the workshop manual. They have some dimensions on them.
One of these days you guys will buy your own manuals! Or maybe you should all club together and get me a new one because mine has dropped to bits with all this scanning!
Just kidding.

Oh and it is a regular seat belt bolt. You cannot use just any old bolt.

I noticed I only have 1 female on each side of my console but have the shoulder belt males on the headliner over the doors. Seems like I'm missing another female right. 2 should be on each bolt. Where do they lay? One goes back to the console receptor...what about the second? Cant believe I have missed this for so long. Steve

They don't seem to have thought of a provision for the second belt! As you say it doubles up on the bolt down by the seat. I lay mine on the console.
