Help identifying these brake rotors

Postby Adrian Worman » 19 Jun 2013 17:53

Hi mates
These slotted and drilled rotors are on our MMA site over here.
A set of FirmFeel semimetallic pads and these could be a quick fix for my Chally brakes till next year when I copy Eds DrDiff kit.
Having trouble identifying them tho, here's a link to the ad and the thread

I don't see an advantage over what you have now Ade? They appear to be 2 piece rotors with re-inforcing webs cast into them. This helps prevent warping but it's still a 2 piece rotor! NO,,starting in 1973 all mopars did not have 11.75 "Cop Car" 11.75" rotors. In 1975 MoPars went to that size across the board but E-Bodies were history. With the bearing spacer it would work as long as the caliper adaptor fits. But I still don't see an advantage? If you can get them for a good price,,cheaper than factory replacement 2 piece rotors then yes, but you gotta factor in the bearing spacer cost as well. If it were me, I would save my money for the big brake kit.

They are one-piece 11.75" rotors (not two-piece) with the larger inner bearing. The same as the Mopar Action upgrade ones only drilled and slotted.

Oh OK Dave. I read on the AD were he states ( 11" diamater Rotors big and ready to go)?? He also states in later posts that they are 10.98/11.00 inch? Just trying to get the facts for Ade. If they are indeed 11.75 wouldn't he need longer caliper adaptors?

In the ad Steve said he got sent the wrong ones and that these are 11" not 11.75".
I could go grab em and pull a hub off and try it, he's ok with that.
Look good for the money tho :D

Oh I see. Missed that.

But they are one-piece, large inner bearing, discs though. It is just the diameter.

Hopefully a bearing spacer or a pr of later spindles will work then. No need to change calliper brackets or even callipers , can still use my pin type ones

Yes Ade you are correct. They should fit fine with the scarebird bearing spacer. If they are a good buy get em! Loaded with FF Carbon pads they should work great and have bit more "bite" due to the slots and drilled holes to let the gasses escape.
