Correct installation of hardware in column at steering box

Postby cv70chall » 15 Jan 2011 14:43

Hi,

I've completed the restoration of my steering column and have come to the point where I need to replace the pin and metal spacers that are located inside the end of the column that attached to the steering box. Can anyone give me a diagram as to which way the metal spacers actually go inside the housing? (They seem to fit 2 ways)
I want to make sure this it right! Steering is kinda important!

Thanks all!!!

I am sure i have posted the only available diagrams of that area on here before? Have a look and see if you can find them. If you can't I will have a look myself later or tomorrow.

Dave, is there some way we can have a library of popular tech articles (like the "stickys")?

I think I meant to say can we have this link info as a sticky cos every one spent a little bit of time finding it, and its quite a popular steering topic. There, thats a bit clearer ain't it :?: ..............if not then I need to lay down for a few days
