Looks like a pretty good deal locally. I might be able to talk him down a bit, but what do you think? A lot better than what I have on now? (I've had lots of negative comments on the wheels that are currently on the car)
(4) New Centerline "Starlite" billet polished aluminum wheels. 15 x 8" with 4" backspacing. Five spoke design with embossed center cap that covers lug nuts. 5-lug dual bolt pattern for passenger cars - 5 on 4 3/4" for Chevy/GMs & 5 on 4 1/2" for Ford/Mopar/others. Perfect condition. No curb scuffs.

(4) New BFGoodrich T/A radial tires. 265/50-15. Like new condition.
Less than 500 miles of use. Includes chrome valve stems, computer balance, lug nuts & wheel locks. $800 for complete set.
Sized for C3 Corvette, muscle car, Chevelle, 2nd generation Camaro, etc.

I think you're the only one that has said that. They are new rims and tires but the fronts seem a little small. I'm not crazy about them myself.

I think too modern of rims take away from The Challenger look so it feels kinda like everything else out there.

Love the picture too, sits nice. One comment though, why use the redline tires

I would guess that the five -spoke rims with redlines make it look like an old Hotwheels?

For non-stock wheels, something with the vintage look goes great on these cars IMO.

The new-fangled modern wheels not so much.

I hate those wheels. The tires are cool. If you want a retro look, especially for "Hot Wheels", the slotted mag's are cool and, the Crager T/A,s work pretty well, also.

Alaskan, you have it exactly right. I started out my website www.thetoypeddler.com by selling Redline Hot Wheels and there are still a lot of my original members from 10 years ago there. The ultra high end Hot Wheels from the 60's - mid 70's were the core base of collectors. I attend a few conventions every year and the "Redline Guys" would appreciate the redline tires. It's kinda like making this the "Redline that never was".
I was looking at the 5 spoke torque thrusts also, but these looked pretty cool and I thought they would be a good deal and since they are local I was considering them.

to be quite honest, I mentioned the redlines to help get a discussion going about the contrast with the modern rims. My opinion is there are two different appearence goals going on here using both oldschool and new.

They do make a nice definition to the outline of the tires in your ad for sure and suggest keeping them.

Only an opinion. I see so many classic cars with retro wheels. I just think it would be great publicity for pauls business to have a redlines and classic Cragers. It would be a real life "Hot Wheel".
