Steering Box correct color

Can anyone tell me the correct color to paint a power steering box for my TA?

Steering boxes were left natural from the factory.

You have a few options. You can clean it up really well...using rust removing products like EvapoRust to get the box looking new again. THen you can spray it with a matte clear coat to try and protect the bare metal. It will eventually start to rust again under the clear coat though.

You can leave it bare metal and rub some oil on it(often) to keep it from rusting.(not recomended on a car that accually gets driven)

Finally you can paint the box a color that looks like bare metal. Eastwood has a spray paint called Spray Gray that is supposed to mimic cast iron. Once that is applied you can spray a matte clear over it to protect the paint a little better.

I think Eastwood re-labels other companies products and sells them at an inflated price. I found that Seymour Stainless Steel paint is exactly the same color as Eastwoods Detail Gray. I've found paint at the local parts stores that is the same color as Eastwoods Spray Gray.
