I have had a good look but can't find any photos or drawings. Sorry.

Fix the bracket to the steering pump.

There is a part of the water pump housing that has a hole right through it to the back. The top of the bracket slips over this part of the water pump housing and a long bolt goes through the front of the bracket, through the water pump casting, and into a captive nut on the back of the bracket.

There are other fixing points that become obvious once that part is in place.

Just remember the SB bracket won't fit.

i've got single plane style brackets, nothing that you have described, i.e. bracket with a front and a back. have made these work, but i'm sure it might be unorthodox, if not incorrect.
i have several manuals, but none really show the bracketing.
