What Wheels Are These?

Thes were on my 70 Challenger.
Any ideas what they are- or what they are off of?

They kinda look like the Dodge Mirada Wheels wasnt that circa 1979-80 or maybe the Chrysler version of that car,(Imperial)?

I like the look of those. They look a bit like the wheels they used to use on Fuel Altereds and the like in the 60s.

yea they do look like mirada wheels,kinda like a hildebrand with out the knock offs

Yes, they are Mirada wheels. The Mirada was produced from 1980 to 1983. They might have been part of the CMX package but I seem to remember a black Mirada in my hometown that had them. It was a standard Mirada with a landou roof. The wheels had gold accents on them. It looked pretty good.

I don't know why the center cap says Chrysler on it. I know those vehicles were made in Canada. Maybe that has something to do with it. I have never seen that wheel on a Cordoba or Imperial.

I know I have a picture of a Mirada CMX at home. I am positive that it has those wheels on it. I'll try and look tonight.

That Turbine Chrysler Aspen is the only car I can find with them on. Can't find any other Aspen photos either.

I also remember a gorgous black CMX in Mopar Muscle or High Performance Mopar years ago. It was a T-top car that had those wheels on it. I'm positive. I think they had the gold accents on them too. I know I still have the magazine but I don't have the time to go throught all of them right now....maybe if it was the middle of winter.

There was an article about Mexican built Aspens or something like that,, they used the old Kelsey Hayes recalled alloy wheels. Maybe as pointed out above, they were on a Mexican built car or Canadian perhaps? They should have a part number on them inside the wheel grooves? They are unique and nice looking. :thumbsup:

OK...here it is.

I went onto www.Cordobaclubusa.com and there are a lot of Cordoba's with those wheels. I know I have seen them on Mirada's too. Maybe the centercap is the same for both or maybe the Dodge version says Dodge on it...I don't know. Here are some pictures I found.

There was a slideshow...maybe of members cars. I went through that and found some. There were probably more but I didn't go throught the entire lot.

I'm curious who made the convertable Cordoba. That is the first picture I posted. THey never made a convert. That looks pretty good.

I always liked the Cordoba. I had an 82 that I drag raced. I wish it had been in better shape. I would have kept it.

The front 11.75" disc brakes and slider calipers on my Challenger are probably off a late 70s Cordoba when they were still a B-Body platform.

The J-body spindles are the hot ticket for the A-body guys that are trying to upgrade to disc brakes. The J-body spindle is a little taller than the stock A-body piece and gives you a little better handling in the process.

Well they say that but I don't believe it. If the spindle is taller or shorter than stock you will get camber changes as the suspension rises and falls. I don't see how you could avoid that happening.
