It's difficult to do it by the book.
Measure from the lower ball joint to the floor.
Measure form the control arm torsion bar spring anchor housing to the floor.

The difference should be 1 3/16" plus or minus 1/8".

But this all depends on if the rear springs are riding at the original factory height or not. Chances are not.

It is much better to do it by eye. Adjust the front height to give it just a very slight rake down at the front.

i have a buddie that has been doing alignments for 40 years we alwawy use the lower lip on the fender,it is important to be sure to bounce the car at least 15 or 20 times while adjusting,and for alignment adjustments.
,i remember all this as i just did it this last summer i had to do it twice for other reasons,but just my 2 cents :s017:

I always just compare the fender lip to the tyre.

One thing you have to watch out for;
You can adjust one front torsion bar and it seems to make little difference?
BUT when you check the REAR you will find that the diagonally opposite rear height has changed.

So you either have to make sure the torsion bars are exactly equal number of turns in on the adjuster OR adjust one a little more than the other to make up for a side to side height difference at the rear.

oh yea one more important thing the driver side needs to be a little higher for driver weight,and your alignment person should adjust for the crown of the road also :nod:
