Rallye Rims & Center Caps

I recently purchased a set of Rallye rims for my 1970 Chally and they came off a 1973 model.
It is my understanding that the only real difference between the 1970 Rims and later year models was the center cap- which went from the "cone" style to the wider center cap style.
Is this correct?
Frankly, I like the way both center caps look- and would not have an issue leaving the '73 caps on my '70.
I currently have Magnum rims on my 1970.

your thoughts?

Yes the center caps are the only difference. As long as you don't mind people telling you "Those are the wrong year caps" every time you go to a show then go ahead and keep them that way.

Thanks, Dave.
I actually like the newer caps better, anyway.
Tire question for you-
On the 14x6 rims, what's the BEST and LARGEST (tallest/ widest) BF Goodrich I could safely go with?

Thanks, as always, oh wise one.

~ A case of Boddington's to you, sir! :s019:

Figured it out.
14x6 rims-BFG P215 or P225 70 R14's all around.

Thanks though!
