I have a 1970 Dodge Challenger, I have a set of 15 X 7 Rims and I'm trying to figure out what would be the perfect size tire to mount on these. I want to avoid rubbing. The car is totally stock.
This has been covered many times on this message board in the past. If you do a keyword search from the utilitys at the left you might find it.
Basically though the answer to your question is a 7-9" wide tire. Something like a 205 or 225 wide 60 series. It is always best to be just a little wider than the wheel. Too wide and the side wall does not do it's job right.
