How to hook up brake proportioning valve

I am about do a Baer front and rear disc brake conversion on my 71 Challenger. I will need to hook up the new proportioning valve. I was wondering what to do with OEM proportion combiation valve. Should I remove it or gut it out? Any help would be great.

Keep the brass block that splits the two front lines and has the switch in the middle. Put the adjustable valve in the rear brake line after the block.
