Hi, I am very keen to get rid of the air shocks on my challenger, can anyone give me any feedback on weather to go for multi or mono leaf springs? I was thinking of using calvert racing monos with kyb shocks, can anyone tell me if they have tried this combo?

thanks in advance jim,

I know a few people with monoleaf springs and they are very happy with them. They seem to work well. However Calvert Racing's two piece design is best. Where the front section is thicker than the rear.

But then again. There is nothing wrong with the original muli-leaf design. They were thicker in the front section to.

I don't think there is even a weight advantage with the monoleaf springs to be honest.

With a choice between the two I would go for the cheaper option.

However if you are a drag racer you might want to invest in some Caltracs. In which case you may as well go the whole hog and fit the split mono's.

Thanks dave, It's not going to be a drag car, but after weighing it up i'm going for the split mono's from calvert, the price's i've been quoted are very similar and i've heard that all the repro multi leaf springs from the states are now made outside the usa and the quality standard has slipped, not sure if this is correct but i don't want any hassle of returning them if i'm not happy,
thanks for your advice, jim

You are right about the quality issues on some leaf springs these days.

But ESPO know what they are doing and I have never heard of anything they have supplied being other than perfect as well as a good price.

Check out their prices on multi-leaf springs first before making up your mind. http://www.espo.com/

Excellent service from there too. Paula is the girl to talk to there. She REALLY knows her stuff.
