T86

Postby jh27n0b » 20 Feb 2008 0:14

Does anyone know what tire was used for the T86 option for a 1970 Challenger. I know it is a F70X14" WSW. Does it have a small white stripe? 2 small white stripes? 1 medium sized stripe?

A picture would be great. Barry?

Thanks
Bob

Thanks Dave. Any history on the car in the picture?

It was an unrestored and quite original 383 WSS which at the time the photo was taken (some years ago now) belonged to Tony DiLernia, Maryland, USA.

The option code for the WSS is A91 and the package cost was just $199.50.

For that price you received a Western Sport Special decal on the rear fenders, a vinyl roof, a woodgrain instrument panel applique, a remote control mirror, the rim blow steering wheel, sill mouldings, belt mouldings, front splash pan scoop, cowl moulding, rear taillight Astrotone applique, pedals dress-up kit, bumper guards w/rubber inserts and F78x14 inch (I think - possibly F70 either) white side wall tyres mounted on 14" Rallye wheels.

Not sure which size the tyres are in the photo. But I think they looked the same anyway. Hence I cannot be 100% sure if these look exactly like the tyres you are looking for. But I think they are.
