Brake master cylinder and calipers

I'm putting stainless steel disc brake kit on the front of my 70 and I've got lots of questions. It had manual drum brakes and I'm putting on manual disc's. The calipers mount in front instead of the rear like factory, would that cause a problem? My old brake porportioning valve is still good and I'd like to reuse it but its just 1 block and the book shows 2 for disc brakes. Is that just for power brakes? The master cylinder that came with the kit doesnt have the mounting hole's for the rubber boot seal on the back where the rod goes in. Will it need something covering it? I'm going to give them a call but wanted to see what evryone thought.

The brass block is just to feed the three brake lines from the two master cylinder outlets. There is also a warning light switch incorporated in it.

You need to fit an adjustable proportioning valve in the line going to the rear wheels from that block. Only an adjustable one will do. Don't use a factory one.

The position of the caliper does not matter.

Caliper position is not a problem as long as you use custom-length brakes hoses.
If you buy standard Challenger disc hoses (or if they're included in your kit), they may be too short.

Try mocking them on and turning the wheels all the way in and out. The hoses must never be taut or bent, they must never be in the way of another moving part (steering parts, or obviously, the wheel), and they must not rub on anything (even -or especially- if they're braided steel).
