Calvert racing system

Postby plum-crazy » 06 Nov 2007 5:06

I've just installed the Calvert Racing sytem on the chally.
The complete set is mono leaf springs, rancho 9000 adjustable shocks and traction bars.
Once installed I checked the car is still flat and the shocks are about 90% compressed without anybody inside the car.
Is this normal?
Maybe the shocks get pressure as soon as I could drive the car on the street and then rise a little bit the rear part of the car as I want?

If the car is at normal ride height then it sounds to me as if the shocks are too long.

It is the springs that set the ride height. There should NEVER be any lift from the shocks as the mounting points for the shocks are not designed to take any weight.

Plum, those Rancho's should have an external adjusment knob to adjust preload and rebound.
