Sway Bars for Cars with Non-Sway Bar LCAs

Postby DPhil » 23 May 2007 20:01

I followed the recent threads on sway bars with interest.

My car is a 318 and came without sway bars.

Just Suspension (www.justsuspension.com) now offers front and rear sway bar kits at $99.00 each. It looks like they are trying to set up a chat room on the site but I did not bother with it - just emailed their tech rep, Luke.

Since I do not have the sway bar LCAs, I asked Luke if the front bar kit would work on my car. He said yes - they utilize the shock bolt to mount an angle bracket from which you hang the link.

If you have this info already, sorry for the repeat.

I am not sure how these kits compare to those sold by Firm Feel, but I have the heavy strut rods and bushings from Just Suspension and plan to put them on this summer when I can find a free weekend. I plan to get their kits - reasonable price.

I personally would weld the the angled brackets on rather than hang the bar by just the bolt.
But that is just my opinion and not based on anything I have heard.

Did you ever find the piece you were looking for?
I'm not sure why my other post was deleted in this thread.

I looked through my parts at home, and I must have thrown away those brackets.

Anyways, like Dave said, any major supplier like Just suspension should have that bracket, and I also agree that it should be welded in versus the bolt.

Maybe I'm the crazy one :s006: I know I sent him a pm about this, but I also thought I replied in the thread.
