Tuff steering wheel

A book of mine says that the Tuff steering wheel wasn´t an option on Challengers. Is this correct? If you want to add a Tuff steering wheel to your Challenger, does the standard hub and the Tuff steering wheel fit together (or do you need to buy another hub)? Thanks!

Depends what you mean by "Tuff". Some people confused the Tuff with the "Rim Blow".

The Rim Blow was an option on the Challenger and of course from 72-74 you got a two spoke steering wheel.

I would guess the tuff wheel would bolt right on or at least be easy to modify to fit.

Once again, a distant memory of a car conversation..... the Tuff wheel was a B-Body option and never was offered on the E-body cars. However, I did put a reproduction Tuff wheel in my Challenger and it did bolt right in.

Like Jack said. It was not an option on E-Bodies. It must be the rim-blow (steady Eddie) you were thinking of.
But you are not alone in getting confused between them as I said earlier.

I mean the Tuff wheel... More seriously I am thinking of the wheel with a padded, leather-like (true leather?), black ring.

According to Mr Herd, it also was used on A-bodies. I don´t know if that is true or not.

Isn´t it stange that you couldn´t get this good-looking wheel in a E-body. I wonder what the reason was?

Thanks! That was about what I had suspected. I feels good to hear that from someone else though.

Sorry for the late reply. //Chris

True leather on a mopar steering wheel? I would seriously doubt that.

Because they had the similar looking rim blow for the E-bodies I guess?
