Does anyone know the correct booster type (Midland/Bendix etc.) for a 70 E-body including part number?

Thanks

Here's some info (not the brand though, just the part number) : http://www.challengertaregistry.com/brakes.html

YOu can search eBay for brake boosters, some include part numbers. If I remmeber correctly, Bendix made the big booster that was standard on the hemi, so I guess the flat one that was installed on other cars is the Midland design. Not sure though.

I ordered one through Napa recently(about $100). It was a remanufactured original with Chrysler stamping and numbers. It was pitted and old looking so I didn't purchase it though. If you are lucky a good shell could be found using this source however the cad plating would need to be done elsewhere.

I ordered a remanufctured unit through Autozone... remanufactured by Cardone. Appearance was OK with black anti-rust coating but not perfect. Cost was OK too... +/- $80. I'm using it and it works fine. I did make a few calls to other rebuilders and salvage yards. It appears that the supply of really clean cores is low. Another option I'm aware of is Master Power Brakes new dual 8 in booster + master to fit Chrysler products. Its a little expensive and won't look original but should have plenty of boost. Has anybody tried it?
