Poly LCA bushes

Postby dave-r » 03 Sep 2006 15:11

A while ago we were wondering (I can't remember what thread it was) why it was suddenly difficult to get poly LCA bushes. I think the conclusion was that there were reports of LCA damage or failier due to the use of them so most manufacturers have stopped selling them.

In the past I had replaced every bush on my car (save the engine mounts) with poly. Including the LCAs.

Today I had the chance to remove and inspect the LCA bushes, LCA pivot and K-frame after thousands of miles using these bushes.

You know what I found?

Nothing. No wear. No damage. Nothing.

I wouldn't think twice about using them again. They are great.

I just did my front susp a few months ago and the poly bushings came w/it(kit from Performance Suspension Components). Everything seems fine to me.
