performance "Front" suspension

Postby Timbo » 07 Oct 2005 18:38

hey guys, it's about time to work on the front suspension. I've been looking through the catalogs and other than the urethane bushings, i don't seem to see any performace Control arms or stuff i would see for other cars(like my mustang). Are there any performance suspension components for our 73' challenger that would be good for street and strip?

thanks guys,

I think what most people do is just poly bushings with the right size sway bar and torsion bars and thats about, I havent really seen anything performance wise, but Im not worried about my front end as of yet so I don't really pay attention to it.

Magnum force ( http://www.magnumforce.com/ ) make tubular UCAs that can give you more castor than the stock UCAs but to be honest even on a hard driven street car you don't need that much and the stock bits work fine. It is HOW you adjust them that counts. Whatever you do DON'T use the factory settings.

PS Don't use their tubular K-frame.

thanks spitfire and dave. i was looking for the tubulars, but apparently they aren't necessary.

we are just gonna stick with the polyurethane bushings and we have 1in. Torsion bars to install.

thanks for the fast replies.
