what is the widest rim that you can put onto a stock challenger?

Most have 8" on, you might be able to get a 9" on in the back. I would do some measuring first because with all the tolerances back then the axle might be slightly off center, and will look good with the big wheels on.

The subject has been covered a few times on here. Have a look through the threads in this section.

Well to save you having to go to the obviously huge inconvenience of getting under your car with a tape measure or reading the many threads on this subject already printed here I will tell you.

4.5" backspace max on the front should keep you away from any suspension components. Anything from around 4.5-4.75 backspace on the rear should be ok.

Obviously the tire size you use is the really limiting factor.
And before you ask a 215 or a 225 is about as wide as you can go on the front without cutting something and 275 the widest on the rear.

15x7 on the front and 15x8 on the rear both with around 4.25, 4.5, or 4.75 backspace is what most people would use I guess.
