big tires VS chrome wheel opening moldings

Postby dodgefreak » 04 May 2004 17:00

right now i'm restoring my quarter panels(foto) and the edge at the wheel opening seems wider then before... I'm also going to put some nice chrome wheel opening moldings, does that gives any problems with the wheels as far as you guys know?
I'm planning to buy some 275/60/15 tires with 4.5 backspace...

Also depends on the width of the wheel but I think you will be safe. There might be room on the edge of the trims for a bit of 'dressing' with the angle grinder to give a few mm more clearence.

Always try the wheels on both sides before deciding how good they fit. Quite often the axle is not centered under the car......
