Power to Manual Steering (again)

Postby Phil Raynor (Philth) » 22 Aug 2003 12:26

Advice, please!
I plan on converting my 73 Challenger to manual steering over the winter. I already have the manual steering box (ta, Blue), and know I will have to buy/fabricate an adaptor for the column, but will I be able to use the power steering Pitman arm on the manual box? The Pitman arm is less than 2 years old, so I would like to get away with not replacing it!
Cheers, people!

I had all this info some time ago and I might be able to find it. I seem to remember the splines changed at some point?

But anyway, if it has the same splines use your existing pitman arm. I don't think there was any difference in the arm from power to manual. I will check though.

It's a column adapter (quick fix for the coupler).

Good Luck.
