The Dodge Challenger Message Board

I have a 74 challenger with a 8.75 rear. The car has some sort of traction bars on it now which I am in the process of taking off. My question is there is wedges on the car now which is pointing the front of the rear down, is this stock or should I remove them? Thanks in advance.

Someone has added the wedges to adjust the pinion angle either for racing purposes or because of a rear suspension height change. I have the suggested angles someplace from a Mopar Action article but no idea where! The factory manual should tell you how to check it but I use a school patractor with a nut hanging on a thread to give me the angle of the prop shaft and diff joint. Sorry I am a bit short of time to go into much detail. Give me a shout if you need more help on this.

Thanks Dave, that is what I thought also. I just wasn't sure if a stock challenger had any wedges.
