I would like to know if anyone knows if the brake
master cyl and front disc assy's will work off of a 1980 Dodge Aspen to a 72 challenger ?? If it doesn't, what would be a good donor car???
Thanks,

Rusty

Rusty, I read somewhere that the Aspen setup is not a good match. Either another E-body 73 or 74 or 73-76 A bodies; Dart, Valiant,or Duster. Make sure you get the proportioning valve off of the donor car also. The info can be found at
www.moparts.com/moparts/tech/index.html Good luck

The Master cylinder on the Aspen is the same as the light weight alloy/plastic mopar performance unit I have on my Challenger. The main difference is that the cylinder on your Challenger is held on with four bolts but after 1979 Chrysler used a two bolt fitting. You would have difficulty fitting it to a power booster but if your brakes are manual you just use an adaptor on the bulkhead which you can get from Mopar Performance (only they need 'adjusting' to fit) or you can make your own. Use an adjustable proportioning valve from Summit (they are the same as the other branded units only cheaper) plumbed into the rear brake line.
