Just curious- did all 70 challys come w/front sway bars? And if not how difficult would it be to equip one with such? Thanks!

Front sway bars on 70 challys

I will have to research that one a little. If you are looking at one like this then you have answered your own question.

I do know that not all e-body Barracudas got one because a friend of mine had to convert his.

All R/T/Ralley Challengers had them I am sure.

To convert you either need the lower control arms from a e-body or b-body car of the same era that has the mounting brackets for the bar.

OR you can weld your own brackets onto your existing LCAs. Some sway-bar kits supply these brackets with the bar.

You will also need the brackets that bolt to the k-frame at the front of the chassis.

The answer is No if you ask me. Otherwise why would you need the following option code: "S31 frt sway bar 70-71" ?
Any other opinions?

That is right Christer.

As far as I have been able to tell, the front sway bar was optional on Challenger and standard on the R/T and any others with the Heavy Duty suspension as standard or optional.
