The women I bought my Challenger from said that the car was a little bit difficult to drive straight. That you allways had to stear a little bit left <-> right to make it go straight forward. I found that to be a little odd,but she said that the people she had spoken to had the same problem. And that there was nothing to do about it. She had been runing the car with 215/?/14" in the front and 295/?/15" in the back. Is it the tires that make the front go back an forth??? or is there something else...

Most likely cause is a bad front end alignment. If the steering box has loose play in it it will do that as well of course.

I would strongly suggest checking the tightness of the nuts and bolts that secure the steering box to the K-member, too. The MOT tester found mine loose last year (amongst other things) and failed the car. When I went to do them up, all the nuts were just about holding on to the bolts by a thread!! Needless to say after tightening the steering is nowhere near as vague, and no longer has 'movie action' steering!
