i need to get new shocks for my car,has anyone any advice on which are good and will fit my car and where from
many thanks.

Hi Bryan, is that a stock 318, or have you done any mods to it that may directly affect your HP? Reason is that the more powerful you make your engine, the stronger the suspension you'll need at the rear.

it has an performer manafold and cam and a 4 barrel holly there the only mods.

Okay, so let's say that your 318 puts out as much HP's as a stock 340. All you have to do is show up at the car parts counter and specify that you need shocks for a 73 Challenger with a 340 engine.
Quick rule: Match your HP with the corresponding engine and specify that engine when buying shocks.
And as to what brand name to buy, it doesn't matter much, just don't buy the cheapest or most expensive ones. It takes less than 20 minutes per side, usually, to change rear shocks. And that's in my driveway, on a Saturday morning...
