Hello, just got my challenger on the road. Im having some problems with my power steering pump. When i drive for about 10 minutes the steering starts to feel hard like there is no PS fluid . I believe the fluid is foaming up ( maybe because engine RPM) . Did anyone ever have this problem or can give me some advice? Thanks a bunch.

I had some problems with my steering too when I just bought my challenger. The return hose to the pump splashed, installed a new...again, then the the hose from pump to steering house broke... I didn't had any assist at low rpm's. Then I found a new pump, installed it and no more problems after that. I don't know how easy these are to find for you, but maybe you could give it a try (or use somebody else's pump to try it out) Can't think of more suggestions, sorry

Thanks Hans for replying. I had that problem also with the hose breaking but that was only b/c the last owner rigged the high pressure line with a piece of FUEL HOSE! I put in a new high pressure PS pump hose to gearbox and its holding fine. I have NOOOO idea what power steering pump is on my motor. I have a 383 and its not a saginaw pump b/c it does not have a oval top. I'll try to find a picture of my engine to see if you guys could maybe identify the pump. Thanks again, Nick
