Greetings from across the pond.
Bought some Minilite wheels for my 70 Bee (tired of the Centerlines) and I am having issues finding studs long enough to mount the rear wheels. It is a Dana 60 rear. Stud spline diameter is .660" (approx) wheel hub center is 2 5/8" and axle flange is 3/8" so i need a stud length from under the spline flange to end of thread 3 1/2" . Wheels have tapered seats for lug nuts. Can they be removed then the wheel machined for a shoulder nut/washer setup?

Your studs should be a half inch diameter?

I didn't have any issues fitting minilites with stock stud length on my Challenger. Are these real Minilites or copies?

If you do need longer studs have you tried Summit Racing?

Yes real minilites imported a number of years ago by the guy I bought them from. Summit and all other suppliers which sell Moroso, Milodon as the most common stud manufactures list their longest stud at 3" once you knock off the "nose" on the stud your down to 2 3/4" of thread which is shy for me. ARP has some longer NASCAR studs in 5/8" which could fit with a small amount of mod to the wheels. Was trying to avoid that.

Standard tapered seat. Standard rear axle. Rear wheels are 10x15.

I had to take them back to the Minilite factory in Telford UK to get the centres of my front wheels enlarged as they didn't fit on the hub of my 11.75" discs.

Ah. I see the problem. The seat for the nuts on your wheels are not recessed into the wheel!!

The chromed dome nuts on my wheels only just protrude from the face of the wheel. That is your problem.

Also the hub should sit flush against the drum brake surface.

Found a photo of the first trial fit. I think you can just make out the chrome wheel nuts are deep into the wheel. Not sure you have enough meat around yours to recess the nuts and leave room for a 3/4" socket as well?

The front wheels were only 8x15 with less backspace (4.5-inch). So the wheel nuts didn't need to be recessed as much as the rears with more backspace.

I found this image of one 8x15 front wheel. This was after I had all four centre holes enlarged so the fronts fitted on the big "Cop" disc brakes.
