Continuing Horn Issues

Postby cv70chall » 04 Mar 2013 12:57

I've been wrestling with my horn problems for quite some time and have yet to get a solution. I've taken apart the crush can, inspected the wiring and it looks fine. I've replaced the insulation gasket between the crush can and column and the horn still goes off when I put pressure on the steering column.

Any ideas?

Find the wire at the bottom of the column and trace it to the relay at the fuse box. Attach a tester to the wire end and the column ground and when you push on it see if you get continuity.
If you do then the wire is trapped or rubbing against something the column
