AC Control Light Bulb Stays On

Postby cv70chall » 05 Jul 2012 14:33

I've noticed that the lamp located over the AC controls stays on, regardless of whether the parking/ headlamps are switched on. Is this normal or do I have this plugged into the wrong plug somewhere?
Thanks

Do you mean the lamp that is located in the switch panel and shines down tru a hole to the A/C controls?
The are pictures here in this forum. The yellow wire goes to an orange terminal and is operated with the light switch, means it is only on, when the parking/ headlamps are switched on.

Call me or you crazy... The thread and pic is from you, here: UNKNOWN WIRING • The Dodge Challenger Message Board

In the first 3 pics you see the lamp with the short yellow cable going into the orange wired connector.

1 OT question: Did you get a notice/mail about my post? I can't find any notification in this board.

LOL
If you're talking about the yellow wire thats plugged into the orange wire- then I'm good- but still have an issue.
If it's the single yellow wire (scroll down) with a round plug at the end- this might be the one you are talking about- and I don't know where it goes..

Yes, I mean the yellow/orange wires are plugged in the way they should.

The yellow wire(s) with a round plug at the end are open on my Challenger too. I'm just starting to add more parts of the A01 package, so I have to find out, what they are for. Maybe for the ignition key light. Oh, again, in your other thread ^^ it is answered as: for the key light, what means ignition key light. See pic 2947751.jpg in the other thread. That's the light. I miss it so far...
