ACC and BATT

I recently purchased an after market tach from Classic Industries and installed it in the dash but haven't gotten to wiring it in yet. According to the instructions I have to ground one wire, connect another to the negative coil post, and the third wire goes to a 12V key on power source. I am not at all an electrician, so I turn to more knowledgeable people. For the 12V key on power source could I use the ACC or BATT locations on the fuse block or should they already be taken by something else like a the lights package?

Thanks,
David

Where are you going to locate it?
If its in the dash then I'd jump the ign feed off another connection going to the instrument cluster, the supply to the voltage reg for example.
If not and it's going on the column or on top of the dash then just run it from the fuse box

Acc is the switched source you need. But as Adrian says you could piggy-back up to anything else that is powered up when you switch the ignition on.

Thank you Adrian and Dave, that's exactly the information I was looking for.
