Map Light

Postby cv70chall » 06 Feb 2012 13:17

Does anyone have an actual photo of the map light assembly, how it mounts and exactly what it's supposed to look like?
I've got the parts and it's been soooo long since I took all this stuff apart, I honestly can't remember.

Thanks!

On a non A/C car, it mounts right to the metal dash frame. On an A/C car, it mounts to the extra plastic trim piece that runs across the bottom of the dash.

If you aren't using the extra A/C trim piece, look for some holes in the dash frame between the glove box door and the ash tray door. There will be a large hole for the switch/bezel and some smaller holes for the plastic light housing. There will be two holes for the light housing screws and one hole for the locating pin on the light housing itself.

It's an AC car. Any way I can get my hands on a photo?

Thanks for the info!

Mines a non A/C car. If no one with an A/C car come forward with a pic, I can take one. Mine will mount differently though since I don't have that plastic trim piece along the bottom of the dash.

Thanks for the link! I can see the location of the switch clearly but the lamp location isn't clear.
Do you have another photo of the map light location?
I can't tell exactly where the metal bracket mounts and so forth...

Thanks
