Hello again!!!

I have come across several plugs and wires that obviously will need my attention before we begin to button everything up.

PASSENGER SIDE:

1. Just inside the right corner of the dash (above & inside the glovebox) I have (2) plugs, each with two wires.
FIRST ONE IS A PLUG WITH A BROWN WIRE AND YELLOW OR TAN WIRE
SECOND ONE IS A PLUG WITH A PINK WIRE AND BROWN WIRE
(I imagine one of them would be for the time delay relay, but I'm not sure about either of them.)

2. LONG SINGLE ORANGE WIRE WITH PLUG coming down from inside right corner of dash.

DASH CENTER ABOVE COLUMN:

1. Plug with (2) RED WIRES near the top of the harness just under the gauge cluster area.

2. Plug with (2) PINK WIRES and a Single Plug with 1 TAN WIRE located next to the Hazard flasher

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
LEFT KICK PANEL AREA:

1. ROUND FEMALE PLUG WITH (2) GREEN WIRES right next to plug for driver's door switch (pin switch)

Hopefully some light can be shed on these.

Maybe you can find out by these pictures of the eletrical diagrams on the 1970 Ralley Panel !?
You can maybe save them down on you computer and make the bigger !?

I have already given these diagrams a look and can't seem to find those plugs.

Try the brake pedal switch for the two wires above the pedal box, also check radio wire, speaker power wire, glovebox lamp, ashtray lamp, seatbelt warning lamp and courtesy light group for the other wires.
You done all the heater box wiring have'nt you?
Do remember that the looms on these cars have loads of extra terminals, plugs, tails etc for use on options not always fitted to your car. Some of them may not go anywhere

The heater box wiring is done and correct. I have the wires set aside for the glovebox/ ashtray, etc. also.
The two plugs just to the right and above the glove box cavity are too short to meet anything- nor is there anything there they should plug into. I can see one of them maybe for a relay but both? They both do look like something had been connected to them.

As for the small female plug with 2 green wires next to the left door switch- it's boggling. It too looks like it's been plugged in at some point but there isn't anything I can see nearby nor is there any listing for it in the diagrams.
The brake switch is hooked up (single male plug/ wire) already.
I just want to make sure this all goes back in right, as I don't want anything not functioning (nor any fires!).
Can you possibly check behind your left kick panel?
On those two plugs coming down the harness above the column area- I'm confident they'll possibly have a home one the column goes back in.

Those terminals that are L shaped nearly always fit to a buzzer, relay or something like, what about the seat belt buzzer circuit, or even the ign key buzzer?
I'll not be much use if I pull any of my panels off Chuck cos I fitted a Painless wiring loom a little while back

The headlight delay relay looks much different than just a single plug. ?? Most relays I've run across have more than 1 terminal, so this would probably be an unused accessory lead, although the diagram you provided shows (2) green wires and a single plug listed.
This is what the headlamp delay relay should look like and it does not look like it's gonna fit.
Any ideas?

There is probably a harnesse for this option that conekt the relay to the maine harnesse so you need to find that to be abel to hook it up !? Is the relay corekt for the 1970 E-Body ?

It will fit your car but you are missing the extra cabel harnesse to be abel to hook it up ! You sould just find the cabel harnesse that run from the relay to the two green cabel´s that ends up in one round female by the door switch conektor and the other cabel sould also be in the diagram for you to find were that ends up

Do you have a photo of what this harness might look like? I would not have the slightest idea what to look for.

Plus, the diagrams do not show any harness or any other type of plug or plugs where the delay meets that dual LGN (light green) set of leads.

Yes internet is a great place to find what your looking for many times Maybe you need to find the partnumber also on the harnesse to be abel to locate the corekt one !? Look for it in the partnumber book.

Are you shore about the partnumbers !? The relay shold be whit partnumber 2947392 for the 1970 E-Body and you wrote 2947395 !?!? And i cant find the other partnumber you wrote on the harnesse in the 1970-71 partbook so were did you find the partnumber 2983621 for the harnesse that should be for the 1970 E-Body ?

Hi Pat-

I can assume that those two pink/ tan wires with plugs hanging down from the main harness are "accessory leads" correct?
That's what it seems to illustrate in the diagram I sent over to you earlier in this post.

Ok, so where can I locate one of those? Aren't they both same same type of relay? They will both operate the same, correct?
I'm not going for "perfect original" but I would like it to work.
What about the pictures of the wires? Are those in fact accessory leads?

You have so many pic of leeds so i dont understan what pic you are refering to but if whe are still talking about the headlamp delay option that you have posted this pic of then that kind of a accessory harnesse is needed if you whant to use that relay in your car but i dont know the partnumber for that harnesse in a 1970 E-Body ! Regarding if the relay that you have whit partnumber 2947395 would work i dont know but maybe thay are interchangebel but if you dont care if it is the corekt parts you use just try to hook it up by the diagram that you found. I do not have any experience in how they work and maybe the 70 model relay whas bad as thay changed it for the 71 model

Sorry for the confusion.
I am referring to the TWO photos above the relay photo.The photo of the TWO LEADS near the flasher and accelerator pedal and the attached electrical diagram. Are those leads actually Accessory leads as it seems to illustrate in the diagram?

They look like pink in that pic !? The diagram show T that stands for tan wires and they look like 3 way splits female round conektors and your´s look like flat singel females ! so they are probably for some other aplicatione. Could maybe your car had a speed control from factory ? If so they might be for the brake switch that are different for cars whit speed control !?

Can I use another key/headlamp buzzer relay? I have found some for A and B bodies that look the same. I want to make sure they fit.

Hi,
key/headlamp buzzer relay ? The key buzzer relay only operates for that and the corekt
partnumber for that relay is 3420884 that whas used for 1970 A+E-Body so just find
that one and your set But if you are looking for the 1970 E-Body headlamp buzzer then that is
a different part and i can give you the partnumber to and pic of it but it isent a relay
becas they made a diode on a short cabel whit conector for that aplication so the diode
makes the sound if you open the door and have forgoten to turn of the lights !

Here is a key buzzer relay for you on ebay but maybe you can find one for less !?

I wish i could tell you but i dont know and that relay whas made as a dual relay for the key & headlight buzzer relay so if you whant to go down that road so to speak you will have to try it but i would recomend you to buy the corekt relay !? Maybe there is some one that has a cross reference partsbook out there that could tell you
if you could use that relay but i do not have that documentation sorry.....
