Wiper Linkage

Postby cv70chall » 18 Jul 2011 18:52

I'm getting ready to reinstall the wiper linkage and cannot remember exactly how this linkage installs. Does anyone have a diagram of the linkage?

Thanks!

Super sized headache coming your way Chuck I'm afraid, a factory manual or even a Chilton manual has the linleage alignment instructions.
I will have a look and see if I can scan one in but I'm pretty sure I'll be beat to it

Mine went right in. Slide the linkage into the cowl through the vent screen holes. Install the six screws that hold the pivots to the body. The linkage hooks to the wiper motor with one clip. That can be done last.

I think I'm getting confused with taking the linkeage apart then, I thought you had to make sure it was all correct or it won't park properly................am I dreaming that :?:

As I remember it you just connect the wipers together, leave them in the park position, and connect the wiper motor to them.

OK.
That's part of this week's project so hopefully it's a smooth reinstall.

Thanks all!

Any ideas as to where I might be able to get one of the linkage pivots? The large round pieces that fit under the cowl?

Thanks

Can you post a picture of the part you need?

You can contact Jules Daddio and see if he can help.
