Headlight switch source? and engine ground question

Postby blackmagic73 » 02 Mar 2010 15:21

Does anyone make these new? I can't seem to find anyone (including Year One and Paddock Parts) that carries one for the Challenger. Should I go hunting on eBay, or does someone know something I don't? The car didn't come with one (amidst other missing pieces parts....)
Also, is there a particular bolt that the engine ground from the battery goes to on the block? ('73, 318). If not, I'll just pick one.

I got an NOS replacement switch from ebay. It was exactly the same except it didn't have the coloured dot on it that my original had. So I had to add one.

I had to replace mine back in the 80's and it didn't have the "dimple" either. An original would have this detail along with a flatter blade.

eBay.

While not a really rare item (unlike a power window relay for instance), sometimes you'll find several, sometimes there won't be one for a few days.

You usually find several new 40-year-old replacements from various spare part makers from the era...
